HejGuten TagHallo G'day.

European brands, sold properly in Australia.

Adler Export Services is a Sydney-based market-entry and sales agency. We represent independent European fashion, streetwear and lifestyle labels to Australian and New Zealand retailers, and we connect quality German and Swedish food and drink brands with local importers.

What we do

We act as your Australian team on the ground.

Australia is a long way from Berlin, Stockholm or Amsterdam. We handle the local work that decides whether a brand sells here or stalls.

Wholesale representation

We present your collections to independent boutiques, concept stores and larger retailers across Australia and New Zealand, and we take and follow up on orders.

Selling to our seasons

Our summer is your winter. We plan which drops and carry-over styles to offer, and when, so retailers here buy the right product at the right time.

AUD landed-cost pricing

We build wholesale and recommended retail prices in Australian dollars that account for freight, duty, GST and local margins.

Compliance guidance

Care labelling, mandatory product-safety standards and, for food, FSANZ labelling. We flag what applies early and bring in specialist partners where needed.

Logistics introductions

We introduce you to licensed customs brokers, freight forwarders and third-party warehouses (3PLs) so stock moves smoothly.

Trade show presence

We represent your brand at relevant Australian trade events and buyer appointments, so you don't have to fly in every season.

Why Australia, why now

A design-literate market with an appetite for European labels.

Australian shoppers follow European fashion and food closely, but many independent European brands still have no local stockist. Brands that arrive early, with sensible pricing and reliable supply, can build loyal retail partners before the market gets crowded.

Because the seasons are reversed, Australia can also give European brands a second selling window for their collections.

  • English-speaking, with a stable economy and strong consumer protection
  • A dense network of independent boutiques and specialty grocers
  • New Zealand can often be served alongside Australia
  • Reversed seasons give you a counter-cyclical sales window

About the Australia–EU Free Trade Agreement. Negotiations concluded in March 2026, but the agreement is not yet in force. It still has to be signed and ratified on both sides. Once it applies, it is expected to remove Australia's 5% tariff on EU clothing and footwear. Until then, standard duties and 10% GST apply, and we price accordingly.

How it works

Three steps to your first Australian orders.

  1. Fit check

We review your range, wholesale prices and production capacity, and give you an honest view of whether, and how, it can work in Australia.

  2. Market-ready offer

Together we build an AUD line sheet with landed-cost pricing, seasonal timing and the compliance points to sort out before shipping.

  3. Sell & grow

We take your brand to retailers, manage orders and reorders, and report back. You pay commission on the business we bring in.

Ash Barnham, Founder

Ash Barnham is the Sydney-based founder of Adler Export Services, which helps European fashion, lifestyle and food brands enter the Australian market. He started the business with the Australia–EU free trade agreement in view: negotiations concluded in March 2026, and while the agreement is not yet in force, Ash is building Adler so European brands are ready to sell in Australia when it applies.
